CIBS S51&52; is Now Open for Applications

CIBS S51&52 is NOW OPEN for APPLICATIONS! Community Involvement Broadcasting Service (CIBS) Seasons 51 and 52 OPEN for APPLICATIONS starting from 17 April 2025! Application deadline: 5:30pm, 29 May 2025. You'll be the NEXT BROADCASTER! Click Here to Submit Application To implement the CIBS, Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) devotes part of airtime to provide a platform for the community, non-governmental organisations and the underprivileged to participate in broadcasting, i.e. produce radio programmes. The CIBS seeks to promote a wider range of social gains, including plurality, diversity, social inclusion, creativity, talent nurturing, etc. RTHK provides funding for application. In this round application (Round 26), two seasons of CIBS programmes will be selected. The ceiling of broadcasting hours in each season is 17 hours per week. Each application should provide a proposal of a weekly programme of 13 episodes with duration of either one hour or 30 minutes. Each applicant (organisation or individual) may submit not more than one application for each season. There are some specific programme themes in each season for the applicant to select, or the applicant may also select "Open Topic". The details are as follows: Programme Themes of the 51st Season: 1. Public Voting for CIBS S49 & 50

Who'll be the next broadcaster! You can make the decision! Public voting facilitates to engage the community in the selection process of CIBS programmes and reflect their views on the various programme proposals. The public voting starts on 27 December 2024 and will last till 05 January 2025. Each voter can only participate ONCE and may vote for more than one programme in all categories. The programme receiving the largest number of “Likes” will be awarded 25 marks. The score of public voting will constitute 25% of the total score in the preliminary screening (For more details please refer to theCIBS Handbook). The voting procedure is as follow: Go tohttps://cibs.rthk.hk/vote?lang=english, read clearly the rules and regulations and thenclick "Vote now". Each voter must vote for at least ONE programme to validate the online process. Voters may vote for more than one programme in all categories. After choosing the programme(s), click "Submit" at the top or bottom of the page. Fill in the required personal information includingmobile phone number; enter theverification codeas shown and thenclick "submit" You will receive aSMS verification codeon yourregistered mobile phone,enter the codewithin 10 minutesand click "submit"to complete the voting procedure.
