APPLICATION for CIBS S55 & S56 will SOON BEGIN!
Community Involvement Broadcasting Service (CIBS) Seasons 55 and 56 will be open for application starting from 17 April 2026! You'll be the NEXT BROADCASTER!
To implement the CIBS, Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) devotes part of airtime to provide a platform for the community, non-governmental organisations and the underprivileged to participate in broadcasting, i.e. produce radio programmes. The CIBS seeks to promote a wider range of social gains. RTHK provides funding for application.
In this round of application (Round 28), two seasons of CIBS programmes will be selected. The ceiling of broadcasting hours in each season will be 17 hours. Applicants may submit proposals of one-hour or half-hour programmes. Applicants may choose from three programme themes in each season.

3. Open Topic
Broadcasting Date: 28 Dec 2026 to 28 Mar 2027
Programme Themes of the Season 56:
1. Education
2. Ethnic Minorities
3. Open Topic
Broadcasting Date: 29 Mar 2027 to 27 Jun 2027
The Application Form will be provided on the CIBS website in the section "Be a Broadcaster" on 17 April 2026. For details, including the Eligibility Criteria, Selection and Funding Criteria, please refer to the CIBS Handbook. Application Deadline: 28 May 2026 at 5:30 p.m.
