Produce 13 one-hour or half-hour episodes of radio programmes for broadcasting on RTHK

There are two application periods every year, and each period accepts applications for two programme seasons. For each season, there are three themes. Details of this round of application:

Application Guidelines

  • Organisations2, or
  • Hong Kong resident aged 18 or above

You need to prepare:

  1. Certificate of Registration of an Organisation (applicable to organisation)
  2. Programme synposis
  3. Programme details of 13-episode programmes
  4. An oral presentation file that is not more than 3 minutes
  5. Production crew list
  6. Production budget

  1. Register for an account on the CIBS website, fill in the application form and submit by the deadline.
  2. The Secretariat to check the validity of the applications
  3. First Round Selection:

    Adding up the scores from the public voting (accounting for 25%) and the Assessors (accounting for 75%) to arrive at the scores obtained by each application in the first round selection. The Selection Committee will shortlist the entries for interview.

  4. Second Round Selection

    The Selection Committee will interview the applicants on the interview list.

  5. Application Result will be sent to the applicants by email and announced on the CIBS website.
  6. The successful applicants are required to attend a facilitation talk and sign the Agreement with RTHK.

Remark

  1. The CIBS aims to provide service for the community, non-governmental organisations and the underprivileged. Applications by organisations in the governmnet structure or public officers are not accepted.
  2. Organisations, including
    • organisations registered under the Companies Ordinance (Cap.32) or (Cap. 622);
    • organisations registered under the Societies Ordinance (Cap. 151);
    • charitable institutions exempted from tax under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap. 112); and
    • members of umbrella organisations of the above.
